Mission Trips

2008 Summer Trips
Turkey Summer Trip

When: July 28–August 11, 2008

What: Build relationships with the refugees by teaching English, visiting their homes, provide sports activities, study the Bible together, attend Sunday worship, and attend a Wednesday prayer meeting.

Team Members: Ed Grudier (Team Leader), Doug and Terri Batson, Jim and Sonia Erwin, Pamela Neumann, Kandi King

Team will be commissioned on Sunday, June 29 at the 10 a.m. service.

 

Mexico Summer Trip

When: July 27-August 12, 2008

Who: Senior High Students and Staff

What: Meet both the physical and spiritual needs of the community. Physical Needs will be meet primarily through construction and renovation projects like stucco and concrete work, building 12 x 16 ft. homes, painting, installing windows or performing similar types of repairs to help local families and churches.

Spiritual needs will be met in a number of creative and culturally appropriate ways through various activities such as hosting a Kids Club, home visits, women’s ministry, prayer walks and worship with a local congregation.

Team Members: Brooke & Heather Roberts, Ashleigh Hall (Team Leaders), Brandan Hummell, Cammie Wilcox, Christian Polito, Jacob and Timothy Buser, Kristin Hagelin, and Luke Polito.

Team will be commissioned on Sunday, June 29 at the 10 a.m. service.
