Cherrydale Baptist Church (CBC) is committed to developing this website to meet the needs and expectations of our users who experience physical, mental and technological challenges that make browsing the Web require more effort. If you find something that needs improvement to make the website even more accessible, please let us know.
There is a high contrast, single column, large type layout available for users with vision difficulties. A link to switch between the high contrast and normal stylesheets is available at the top of each page. In addition, you can increase the size of the text via the M, L, and XL buttons. Browser “cookies” must be enabled to support these features.

Accesskeys are keyboard shortcuts that provide quick and easy access to common pages without the need for a mouse. With Windows-based systems the user has to press the “Alt key” and the access key, and with the Macintosh system the user has to press the “Ctrl key” and the access key.
This website has the following accesskeys built in:
Please note that browser support for access keys varies, and some accesskeys may conflict with keyboard shortcuts defined by the browser or operating system. If you encounter problems using this feature, please let us know.
This website is built on valid XHTML for structure and CSS for presentation. A modern Web browser like Firefox, Safari or Opera is needed to make the most out of this website, but due to the separation of content and presentation it should still be accessible to most browsing devices, including Internet Explorer.
By ensuring that content links are underlined throughout our website, we allow users with vision impairments (such as color blindness) to still differentiate between regular copy text and links. Many links have title attributes which describe a link in greater detail. Whenever possible, links are written to make sense of their context. All links can be followed in any browser, even if scripting is turned off. There are no links that open new windows without warning.
We have implemented field labels and fieldsets on most of the forms on our website. Using labels ensures that the form fields are assigned more comprehensible labels instead of arbitrary—and sometimes cryptic—field names. They also allow users to click on either the form field or its label to make a selection. This is particularly helpful to users who have difficulties in managing a mouse.
Using the fieldset feature ensures that the labels read back to the user in aural browsers are more logical than either the label features alone or in the absence of label tags. Visually, they also help to identify which form elements are related.
