Young Adults Pastor

Steve trusted in Jesus to be his Lord and Savior at an early age, and since then has been continually learning what it means to follow Him. With his life, Steve wants to know and love God, experience His best, and to be used by Him to help other people do the same—for God’s glory! He graduated from Cedarville University with a B.A. in Organizational Communications. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity at Capital Bible Seminary.

• Work experience: recreation, carpentry, Xerox sales, T.V. advertising. Hobbies: Most things outdoors, but particularly surfing, rock climbing, and backpacking.
• Things I Hate: When people cut in line or traffic, when I am arrogant or proud, losing perspective, stressful and negative attitudes.
• Favorite Movie: Top Gun!
• Things I Love: People, God’s plan for the world and His Word, Amy (my wife), my family and friends, fun, travel, adventure, my hobbies, forgiveness and acceptance, grace and peace, the heart and mindset of a servant, nature, new experiences, learning, and of course, Albert Turner.
• Unknown talent: Karaoke superstar!
• Favorite Movies: most that are based on true stories or historical events, Bill Murray movies, drama, martial arts, and comedies.
• Personal comment: “The heart of every problem is a problem of the heart”—I don’t know who said that, but I believe it’s accurate. A heart that is right before God because of Christ’s work is the beginning of every true solution.
