Jasper Johns: Numbers, the first in-depth exploration of a single subject for the artist, gathers 30 of John’s visualization of numbers. One of the major artists of the postwar era, Johns turned his attention to the representation of ordinary objects, challenging the viewer with common symbols transformed into visually rich works of art. The exhibition focuses on pieces created between 1955 and 1963, and it includes painting, drawing, collage and printmaking.
