loudon wainwright III & walter parks: friday, oct 5 @ 8 p.m. ohio theatre
Being dubbed the “New Bob Dylan” after your first recording can be both a blessing and a curse. An accomplished actor and singer/songwriter, Wainwright is one of the more enduring personalities in folk music. Special guest Walter Parks, formerly of the duo The Nudes, brings his eclectic jazz, blues, folk sound fresh off touring with Richie Havens.

The musical voyage continues with David Wilcox-whose voice the Los Angeles Times called “comforting, James Taylor-like” when delivered through songs that “probe scenarios with emotion.”

trout fishing in america & vance gilbert: friday, feb 22 @ 8 p.m. ohio theatre
The award-winning duo of Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet, who stand 5’5” and 6’9” respectively, appear mismatched at first. But a closer listen reveals tight musicianship and charming lyrics that showcase their irresistible humor and intelligence. Billboard hails TFIA as a “rare mix of musicianship, humor and inspiration (with) impeccable dual lead vocals.” The special guest is Vance Gilbert, an ex-jazz singer with a voice that's equally as moving as his soul-stirring songwriting.

*A pre-show performance by Lakewood singer/songwriter Alexis Antes will begin in the lobby at 7:15 p.m.

Brown’s jazzy, bluegrass sound is accompanied by a country western influence that has earned her rave reviews and seen her play beside the likes of Vince Gill, Bela Fleck, Sam Bush and others.

*A pre-show performance by Brookpark acoustic guitarist Brian Henke will begin in the lobby at 7:15 p.m.
