WKSU’s Eric Nuzum says, “In my time as program director, listeners have suggested the addition of many programs, but none as frequently or more heartfelt as those that ask for ‘The Thistle & Shamrock®.’” Produced and hosted by Fiona Ritchie, “The Thistle & Shamrock®” brings the world of Celtic music to America—direct via satellite from the program's studios in Perthshire, Scotland. Ritchie features not only traditional Celtic music, but also modern works that are influenced by the folk music of, primarily, Scotland and Ireland.
