WKSU Expands Service To Ohio
June 8, 200x
The WKSU-FM signal is now being transmitted from Norwalk, Ohio at 90.7 WNRK. The antenna is on a 400 ft. tower and is currently broadcasting from a testing strength of 2000 watts, which is 50% power. WNRK will better serve listeners in Lorain and Medina Counties and extend WKSU’s reach into Erie and Huron Counties.
In time for summer trips to Vermillion, Cedar Point, Kellys Island and other relaxing lakeside get-aways, 90.7 WNRK will keep you informed, enlightened and entertained with WKSU’s award-winning music and public radio programs.
The new signal completes a plan conceived by the Ohio Educational Telecommunications Network Commission (OETNC) to provide public radio access to all Ohio residents. Following approval from the FCC, WNRK is scheduled to begin broadcasting at full power later in the summer.
Take Car Talk, A Prairie Home Companion, NPR News, classical and folk music and more along for ride and listen to WKSU at 89.7 and over the station’s four repeater signals: 89.3 WKRW Wooster, 91.5 WKRJ New Philadelphia, 89.1 WKSV Thompson, and now 90.7 WNRK Norwalk.
