 “As Operations Coordinator, not many people know what I do here. In fact, by doing my job right, everything runs smoothly and a listener shouldn’t notice. I make sure the programs are recorded correctly and schedule the underwriter and paid promotional announcements. The announcers follow the log I produce telling them what to run and where it goes.
I wasn’t always in the background at a radio station. In college, I was a DJ at WFAL at Bowling Green State University. Later, I was a rock and roll DJ at a station in Roanoke, Virginia. I also worked at Blue Ridge Public TV in Roanoke and then, finally, I made my way back to Northeast Ohio, found WKSU, and have been here since 1995.
I grew up in Parma, Ohio and live there today. I’m an avid collector of Snoopy stuff—yes, the beagle with the big nose. Nothing can bring a smile to my face faster than Snoopy, but then again, how could it not?!”
