Chris Duncan
Multimedia Director

Chris DuncanChris Duncan has been designing visual commmunications for nearly a decade. Spanning multiple disciplines, he has designed and worked on various print, identity, web and interactive projects.

As WKSU’s Multimedia Director, Duncan gives public radio “a face made for Web.” While working alongside representatives from all station departments, he promotes the family line of WKSU interactive services (WKSU.org, FolkAlley.com, and the Kent State Folk Festival), with visual appeal while enhancing WKSU’s image and standing in the community, both locally and globally.

The quality of the award winning WKSU web site is well recognized within the public radio system, and Duncan’s work has received numerous award honors from broadcast, news and design competitions, including Press Club of Cleveland, Ohio Society of Professional Journalists, Graphic Design usa, and Horizon Interactive Awards.

A graduate of Kent State University’s renowned graphic design program, he holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Communication Design and a minor in Advertising.

According to Duncan, “Creating graphic design is akin to building a bridge between a message and an audience. With good support, the bridge stands. The message gets across. With faulty materials, it falls. My goal (with any design work) is to lay a strong foundation which empowers a message to reach its intended audience—not across board and steel—but through multiple media.”
