Deborah Frazier
Director of Administration
 Deborah Frazier’s life-long interest in music, the arts, writing and people is a natural fit with her position as Director of Administration for WKSU.
Deborah began her career at WKSU in 1974, when there were only five people on staff, a large group of student assistants, and a number of community volunteers. Over the years, she has held many positions, from Traffic Coordinator to Business Manager to Director of Finance and Personnel.
Sometimes—such as when you are recruiting staff—being located in Kent, Ohio is not an obvious advantage. In spite of that, Deborah has successfully recruited employees from as far away as California and Alaska.
If she had to choose one thing she’s most proud of in her professional career, it would be the quality of the people she’s hired (and re-hired) during her tenure at WKSU…and that’s literally everyone who is now on staff! Frazier says, “A radio station is nothing more than its people, and our people not only make up one powerhouse team—they’re great people to be around.”
