Trish Gerber
Director of Development
 When Trish Gerber was named WKSU’s director of development, it was a homecoming in more ways than one. After graduating magna cum laude from Kent State University, Trish worked at the Honors College while earning her Master of Arts in English. She began her career in development at the University of California Santa Cruz and then returned to Kent as a development associate for WKSU from 1994 through 1996. At that point, she took a position at Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management where she held several positions, including associate director of development. It was in fall 1999 that Trish returned to fill the director’s position at WKSU.
If you are a classical music listener, you might recognize Trish’s voice for her on-air work with Mark Pennell during WKSU’s membership campaigns. Trish’s primary responsibilities include oversight of all fund-raising initiatives at WKSU, including the membership program, underwriting sales and major gifts. One of the accomplishments that Trish is most proud of is completion of the first phase of an endowment campaign, which earned WKSU an additional $250,000 from the GAR Foundation, coming in the form of a challenge grant.
