Julie Grant
Reporter/Producer
 Julie Grant moved to Ohio from Long Island, New York in 1988 to attend Miami University. She cut her teeth in public radio journalism as a student employee at WMUB in Oxford, and then moved to Columbus to work as a reporter and news director at WCBE. Toward the end of the millennium, she headed north to Kent to become the education reporter at WKSU. She still does a lot of reporting on schools, but also focuses on environmental and development issues. Grant has won numerous awards for her work here, including being named “Best Reporter” in 2003 by the Ohio Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. Grant is also perpetually working on a Master’s degree that combines studies in Biology and Philosophy. She enjoys gardening and vegetarian cooking.
