89.7 WKSU and Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me! logos

For the past 5 years, host Peter Sagal has issued a challenge to public radio listeners—especially those faithful to NPR’s news magazines, “All Things Considered” and “Morning Edition”. With the able assistance of veteran newsman Carl Kasell and a panel of witty competitors, ”Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me!” revisits the high-and low-lights of the week’s current events with often hilarious results. And to the lucky callers who know their news goes the spoils…Carl’s voice on their out-going answering machine message.

On April 3, 2003 at 8 p.m. at the Akron Civic Theatre, Peter, Carl and friends bring NPR’s oddly informative quiz show live to Northeast Ohio for the first time. Laugh along with favorite segments that include “Who’s Carl This Time?” and “The Limerick Challenge” as the panelists battle to be named “Best of the Week”. The show will be recorded for broadcast the following Saturday. Tickets are $25 and $15.
