Description
This series was created to promote a live in-person performance by Ira Glass, host of the public radio program, This American Life, at Akron’s famed Highland Theater. The event was hosted by WKSU, and the show’s marketing and promotions was the primary responsibility of the station.
The promotion, which also included a micro website, garnered a record number of registrations and ticket sales.
Several ad versions were published in prominent northeastern Ohio media outlets such as Northern Ohio Live Magazine, Akron Beacon Journal, and The Free Times.
Thoughts on Design
The design style fits the dramatic personality found in Ira Glass, host of the enigmatic radio show, This American Life and the use of bright reds, oranges, with an unexpected headshot position worked nicely to capture the spirit of the show.
